16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is the perfect time to turn awareness into action. This year WHGNE invites community and stakeholders to join us in exploring ways to contribute to the prevention of gender-based violence across the settings where we live, work and socialise.

This year WHGNE’s campaign theme for 16 Days is ‘How to turn awareness into action’, because we, like people across our region, want to take practical steps to stop gender-based violence from happening in the first place. We’re developing a resource with advice and tips on how to translate your knowledge of this problem into action for change – whether it be in a workplace, community, educational or social setting.

This resource will build on WHGNE’s suite of work around preventing gender-based violence, because we believe that the depth and breadth of the impacts of gender-based violence necessitate long-term, consistent and collective action to change social and cultural norms and enact systemic change.

Stay tuned for the launch of our information resource for community and organisations on how to turn awareness into action, which will be available on this page in time for 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.
