Women’s Health Goulburn North East auspice the DHHS funded position, Family Violence Regional Integration Coordinator (RIC) for the Goulburn and Ovens Murray areas in the Eastern division of Victoria (the old Hume region).
The RIC is based at WHGNE and utilises the knowledge and skills of the staff here to enhance the coordination of service delivery across the region.
The responsibilities of the RIC are to be accountable to the Goulburn Ovens Murray Integrated Family Violence Committee for their work plan and be supervised by the auspice body for day-to-day activities:
- provide strategic leadership in steering integration initiatives and activities that support the achievements of the committee priorities set out in the Strategic Plan and Action Plan;
- communicate and drive the development and maintenance of the structures, processes and relationships that promote the achievement of the regional priorities;
- support the development stage, then with the committee, deciding on regional priorities and actions that align with the state-wide priorities and regionally identified needs;
- collate material and evidence for state government required reporting and associated templates;
- coordinate progress reports of the strategic plan for the committee;
- report to the committee on the key tasks in the RIC work pan;
- play a key role in a shared understanding and context across key sectors in relation to family violence; and
- in coordinating an integrated system response to family violence.
