The Hume region has identified Healthy Eating as a priority for their target population of 0-12 year olds (2013-2017). A key aspect of healthy eating within this age group is breastfeeding, which has many proven benefits and provides infants with best start in life.
Gendered Health Indicator factsheets provide a snap shot of health and wellbeing in Local Government Area’s through indicators such as breastfeeding, overweight/obesity, physical activity, social connection, mental health and drugs and alcohol. These have been created to assist Local Governments in developing their Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plans

WHGNE has produced an information sheet for each of the 12 local government area in Hume region.
This fourth Purposive Survey is a snapshot of the health and wellbeing of women in the North East of Victoria and the Goulburn Valley (the Hume region).
The information in this handbook will inform agencies, service providers and individuals within the Hume region about the health status of young women, crating a starting point for change, helping you with writing submissions and collating statistics. 
This handbook is a resource for the ongoing improvement of planning, delivering and evaluating health services to women in Hume region. The first section focuses on provision of data to help inform our work. The second section is a discussion of the challenges that face us, together with evidence from local sources and research. 40p, 2004
